From Sichuan to Munich
MuWu Grill House was born from a simple dream: to bring the authentic flavours of Chinese hotpot and grill culture to the heart of Munich. Since opening our doors in 2018, just steps from Munich Central Station, we have welcomed thousands of guests into our warm, bustling dining room where the aroma of simmering broth and sizzling meats fills the air.
Our founders grew up in China's Sichuan province, where communal dining around a steaming hotpot is more than a meal — it is a way of life. Every recipe we serve has been passed down through generations, refined with the freshest ingredients sourced daily. We are proud to share this tradition with Munich, creating a space where friends, families and colleagues gather around the table to cook, share and connect.

In Chinese culture, cooking and eating are deeply intertwined with well-being. We honour this ancient wisdom by selecting ingredients not only for their flavour but for their nourishing qualities. From collagen-rich bone broths simmered for hours to hand-picked Sichuan peppercorns and fresh vegetables delivered every morning, every element on our table is chosen with care. Dining at MuWu is an experience that nourishes both body and soul.
What Makes Us Special
Farm-Fresh Ingredients
Over 50 fresh ingredients are prepared daily for our buffet — crisp vegetables, hand-cut meats, live seafood and artisan tofu. We never freeze what can be served fresh, because great hotpot starts with great produce.
Tableside Grill Experience
Our signature Chinese grill lets you cook premium cuts right at your table. Marinated ribeye, cumin lamb chops, Sichuan-spiced chicken — every piece is seasoned by our chefs and grilled to your liking on a sizzling tabletop grill.
Homemade Sauces & Broths
Choose from over a dozen house-made dipping sauces — sesame, garlic-chili, fermented bean and more. Our broths range from mild herbal to fiery Sichuan mala, each simmered from scratch for depth and authenticity.
